12 tags of 2013 - january

This year I have the great chance to join Tim Holtz with the "12 tags of 2013" from the very beginning! Yeah!

And he is absolutely right about the "impact time has on our lives"! It's really worth visiting and following his thoughts on that.

I loved following his detailed tutorial and since I got a Sizzix with some awesome TH dies I am finally able to join in without having to improvise too much (although a little improvising can be a chance for experiencing new ways of creating too).

So here comes my january "tag of 2013".

As I do not have the film strip ribbon I stamped a different film strip image onto acetate with StazOn and fixed it with tiny copper brads. I did the same with the month, which can be rotated as one pleases.

I embossed the gears with Ranger and Fran-tage embossing enamels and coloured the ribbon using Adirondack Color Wash "Stream" and the awesome Mini Ledger Stencil from TCW.

Sorry about the bad lighting, but the last days the weather was grey in grey throughout - so I tried with artificial light. (I am not quite content with the result - will have to play around when I find the time for it).

Thank you all so much for visiting!
Hugs,

die amelie xx

  7. What a fantastic interpretation. Love your cogs and there you go again with the alcohol inks on the imagine tag - you have real control over their application. Have a great week ahead, hugs Jenny x
