"STEAM"

I visited Vienna's Spring Creative trade show with my husband yesterday and he paid for a whole lot of awesome goodies there! To express my thankfulness and joy over all my great new stash I made a tag for him, using mainly the things I got from him.

And of course I am in the Steampunk mood because SanDee and me have only recently started hosting our brand new Steampunk challenge blog - a place for card and tag makers, paper crafters but friends of altered 3D objects as well! We hope to be able to welcome a lot of Steampunk fans over there!

And it was him, who discovered the awesome Spellbinders "3D M-bossabilites" embossing folder, which I had to experiment a while on because using it with the Big Shot without tearing the card requires a certain thickness with the additional sheet of card for the stack you run through the machine. (hope this was English now ;). 

So of course I had to use it as we both love Steampunk (and also pen and paper roleplaying games located in the Victorian age). I also wanted to use the rub ons I got from fabulous SanDee as a surprise present some time ago (thank you, SanDee ;) ). It's incredible how they turn ordinary black card into something like that:

Among my new goodies there were also some new dies: the Tim Holtz "Layered Wings", "Iron Gate" and "Wanted Alphabet" dies. Love them all!

The elements that were not covered with rub ons, were sprayed with "green patina" Perfect Pearls Mist. The wings are moveable, so the tag can also get the look of a rocket by moving them all the way down - it was the right thing to do, as my hubby likes gadgets like these.
