Summer over here in Vienna is always very hot and the people try to escape the heat of the city as often as they can. Gladly Vienna has some beautiful bathing spots to go to like public swimming baths in the Vienna Woods or swimming spots along the Danube but one of my most favourite places to go to is located in the Danube Wetlands south of Vienna - the Lobau. I love that you can also watch a lot of interesting and rare animals and insects there!
One of these are the beautifully sparkling "beautiful demoiselles" - a special damselfly that loves this kind of environment. It is such a joy to watch them do their amazing deep blue sparkle magic thus outshining the sparkling reflections of the sun on creeks.
