Happy Birthday to you!!!
We thought your birthday would be a wonderful opportunity for a blog hop with birthday cards for you and, of course, some awesome BLOG CANDY for one lucky winner participating in this lovely event!
For your birthday surprise each of the DTeamies was to choose a favourite technique shown with your challenge blog to create a birthday card with and I decided to try the beautiful Bargello technique (Stepxstep to be found here).
My card says "Alles Gute!" which is German and means "All the best!". So "All the best to you, Mynnette! May your new year be filled with joy and happiness!"
If you, dear readers and followers, want to try this technique too: it is perfect to use up left over patterned paper scraps ;) and really looks awesome. I also added some texture using a stencil and DI.
I really enjoyed doing this technique (which works best with small patterned papers) and will definitely use it again. You should give it a try too!
The flower was cut from the same papers, using the Tim Holtz "tattered florals" die.
