Creative Chemistry 102 - Day 1 and 3 tag

Good morning, dear readers, friends and followers!

Today I tried to combine some of the techniques from days one and three for a tag.
The background was done using the "brayered stains" technique. Then I added some pumice stone DI through the stripes stencil and some white decorating paste too. The scattered script lines were stamped through the stripes stencil onto the tag for more texture.

The image in the lower left corner was stamped using the "smudge stamping" technique and the acrylic charm tag was my first attempt on the "faux cracked glass" technique, which definitely is something I will use a lot in the future (still haven't got my corked domes yet).

Hope you like it!
See you in class! Hugs and happy crafting!

  1. Wow, this is gorgeous Claudia! The "cracked glass" technique looks amazing the way you've done it! Your brayered tags look great too, I have no brayer yet so had some fun trying out different objects to get the same effects. I love your work :)

  4. Wow!!!!! This is absolutely gorgeous!!!! Your faux cracked glass turned out amazing and it is the perfect compliment to your beautiful background. LOVE this!!! I hope to catch up today. Work has kept me way too busy. Can't wait to see what Tim has for us today. -- Mary Elizabeth

  5. Another winner Claudia, fabulous!!

  6. Wowza! Fabulous tag. Love it. Hugs, Yvonne

  7. The cracked glass is one of my favourite techniques from the classes and I love how yours has turned out - beautiful tag Claudia. Hugs, Anne x

  8. wow lovely tag. Haven't had a chance to try the cracked glass, looks cool though.

  9. Wow great tag, love the cracked glass too

  10. Glorious cracked glass... I'm just itching to get playing having seen all the amazing things you're doing. No chance of that just yet, sadly. I do have to do some crafting today, but it's DT deadlines all the way - no me-time, or rather Tim-time!
